Youth Accounts

Help your child build strong money habits early with youth accounts designed for every stage of their financial journey. From savings to mobile banking, we make it easy—and fun—to learn smart money management.

The best way to learn good money management skills is experience.

Youth Savings

Parenting is a complicated challenge. When it comes to helping your kids learn valuable money lessons that will serve them well as an adult, we’ve got your back. The best place to start is with a youth savings account.

  • Visit any branch with your child’s social security number, student ID or other ID card, and your $1 initial deposit to get started.

  • Free coin processing (when money is deposited into the kid’s account) at our Westnedge, Millwood, Vicksburg, and Stadium branches.

Youth CDs

A certificate of deposit (CD) is a great way to lock in savings for your child, whether your goal is short term gains or you’ve got your eye on the college fund prize. Visit any branch with your child’s social security number, student ID or other ID card, and your $1 initial deposit to get started.

  • $100 minimum deposit

  • Option to add funds during the term of the CD

  • Same great rates as our regular CDs
Youth Checking

Once your kid hits high school, it’s time to start learning how to manage a checking account and debit card. At age 13, your teen can open a checking account with debit card, with a parent or legal guardian joint on the account (until age 18). With no monthly service fees or minimum balance, a youth checking is a great way to start learning healthy spending habits.
