Don’t Send Account Info Via Text

TextingCredit union members are experiencing a CO-OP Mobile text phishing scam.

This fraudulent attempt to capture account information is done with an automated SMS/text message referring to themselves as CO-OP Mobile. The text message requests members to enter account information (including ATM PIN number). Avoid clicking links within the text messages and do not respond to these messages that request account information. CO-OP Mobile SMS/text Messages do NOT ask members for account information, including ATM PIN numbers.

If you have responded to this scam, change your password and PIN immediately.

There are many ways for perpetrators to attempt to get personal information, including the use of auto-dialers and text messages. It is important to limit the release of personal information in order to protect yourself from fraud. KALSEE Credit Union and our partners will never ask you for account information via phone, text, or email.
