About KALSEE Credit Union

Preferred alternative to Banks in Portage MI - Our KALSEE Profile

We are Totally Local.

KALSEE Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned and operated by its members, was originally established over 50 years ago in 1954 at a local Kalamazoo area company. Through the decades, KALSEE has grown to be one of the most recognized and trusted financial institutions in the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek Area. KALSEE is not like typical banks in Kalamazoo. Our sole purpose is to assist our members in the sound management of their financial affairs by providing a higher return on savings plans, economical sources of credit and a wide variety of low-cost and no-cost services and benefits. We are also a great alternative to traditional banks in Portage, MI. With our friendly staff, and commitment to your satisfaction you can trust that we are working in your interest. Because we are a non-profit organization, we are not driven to make money off of you, and thus we will work to help you avoid things like late fees, overdrafts, and returned check fees.

KALSEE Mission

To provide and promote a wide range of financial services to help our members gain Personal Financial Success.

When you are a KALSEE member, your money is local and stays local.

Savings

Your initial deposit of $25.00 or more opens your savings account. Once you have opened your savings account, your $25.00 is your "Share" in the credit union. You are eligible to participate in all KALSEE Credit Union benefits and services. Certain financial services such as loans require qualification. Banks in Portage, MI, often require you to keep a large amount of money in your accounts or you begin accruing fees, but not with us.

Safe and Secure

All savings accounts are insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the Federal Government. Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) funds are insured for an additional $250,000.
