is a "Shared Branch" Outlet

In the spirit of cooperation with other credit unions nationally, the new KALSEE office is also a designated “Shared Branch” outlet, enabling service to members of other credit unions participating in the “Shared Branch Network". if you are a member of a credit union other than KALSEE, contact them to see if they participate in the "Shared Branch Network".

In simple terms, if your credit union participates in the “Shared Branch Network" OR makes their services available through Credit Union Service Centers (ex. Southland office in Portage), you may also come to KALSEE to conduct your credit union's transactions. Our lobby is ALWAYS available to "Shared Branch" members, but you can stay in your car if you wish. Just think of KALSEE - Westnedge as a Credit Union Service Center...BUT WITH 4 DRIVE-THRU LANES!

Anyone planning to travel on South Westnedge can go to KALSEE's website, click on the webcam link and get a check of live traffic (or road conditions) just prior to their visit. The KALSEE - Westnedge webcam will be functional shortly. To our knowledge, it will be the only Internet webcam streaming real-time images of South Westnedge Avenue in Portage!

Do you have questions about

the Lovers Lane Office Relocation?

Perhaps the following information will help you gain a better understanding of the reasoning behind the relocation of our Lovers Lane office to our new location at 7225 S. Westnedge. (Formerly RUSS' Restaurant)

Why did you close the Lovers Lane office?

KALSEE has NOT reduced the number of our offices. We have relocated the Lovers Lane Portage office to 7225 S. Westnedge. The two locations are in close proximity of each other. KALSEE's new S. Westnedge office location is bigger, has more services available and will serve members better and more conveniently.

In addition, KALSEE has been looking to establish an office in a high-visibility retail area for quite some time, primarily because of our community-based membership charter, which enables people from all over the area to become KALSEE members. The Lovers Lane office was the most suitable and practical KALSEE office to relocate. The new S. Westnedge office is ideally located - just South of the busiest area of S. Westedge Avenue.

Won't the busy traffic on S. Westnedge pose problems for left turns in or out of the entrance?

First, it's worth noting that anyone who regularly used the former Lovers Lane office, will find it incredibly easy to get to KALSEE - Westnedge. From the former Lovers Lane office, go North on Lovers Lane and turn left (West) on Garden Lane and then turn right and go North on Westnedge for about a half block. The new KALSEE office is on the right. It's the former RUSS' Restaurant.

High traffic should not be a major issue because the really busy part of S. Westnedge (from Romence Rd. up to Kilgore Rd. ) is North of our new location. We are located South of Romence Rd. in the S. Westnedge Avenue "sweet spot", where the traffic volume is manageable and traffic lights are timed. Turning left into or out of the office entrance should not generally be a problem. You can make left turns with minimal or no waiting. We do  encourage you to exercise care and caution as you would normally do when driving on busy roads.

What are the KALSEE - Westnedge office hours?

KALSEE members wanted extended drive-thru hours on weekdays AND Saturdays. So, be sure to stop by KALSEE - Westnedge when you're in the area AND tell your friends and co-workers about our new office!

Once again, here are the Hours of Operation for KALSEE - Westnedge: *

       Lobby:  M-W-Th-F  9am to 5pm

                      (Tuesdays  10am to 5pm)

Drive Thru:  M-F  8:30am to 7:00pm

                      Saturdays  9am to 2pm
